Around 10 years ago, the fish market in muttrah never looked like this. I don’t actually know what it looked like as I never really paid much attention to things like fish markets when I was younger but I’m sure my family would be able to tell me what it was like once upon a time, but when it did get revamped, I had to see for myself what it looked like, plus, I was older, so I cared a bit more about stuff like this.

Located in Muttrah, the fish market hosts not just a market of fish for sale, but also a vegetable and fruits market. The plethora of fish caught straight from the ocean would make any sea food hater intrigued. I don’t really eat fish but I do love the energy of the fish market first thing in the morning, especially on a Friday when most families get together for a family lunch. I recommend going to the fish market as early as possible (around 5am is the sweet spot) to watch the fishermen arrive at the fish market and unload their catches of the day. I never knew tuna was so big. That was my first thought when seeing a fishermen offload a tunafish the size of a large suitcase.
