Located in the Al Hajir mountains, Bilad Sayt offers an authentic look into what life is like in a village situated in the centre of the mountains. Quiet, perfect temperature and kind hearted people, the village is also a popular spot for abseiling enthusiasts at snake gorge. If you aren’t into abseiling, you can take a tent with you and set up camp like many others do. A two and a half hour drive from Muscat, you shouldn’t skip this location.

A 4x4 is needed due to the nature of the drive (dirt roads on the mountain). You will find a petrol station and a bunch of shops just before entering the mountain so it will be best to stock up on petrol and food items as the village is not a popular tourist spot, therefore cafes and restaurants are not available.
